A performer from
the very start.

Michael’s performing arts journey began at age eight when he was invited to join a professional boys’ choir modeled after the Vienna Boys’ Choir — singing and touring professionally for five years. In high school he was selected as both an All-Regional Soloist and Connecticut All-State Soloist, and went on to attend the Greater Hartford Academy of the Performing Arts, majoring in Acting.

Michael then pursued higher training at the United States International University in San Diego and was awarded one of twelve national talent scholarship spots in the prestigious Musical Theater program at Carnegie Mellon University School of Drama in Pittsburgh — one of the most respected performing arts conservatories in the country.

A career on
stage and screen.

As a professional performer, Michael has worked with Equity and regional theater companies across the country, earning leading roles in some of the most beloved productions in the musical theater canon. He has shared the stage with Tony Award nominees, Tony Award winners, and other notable Broadway, film, and television artists — a career built on real professional experience at the highest level.

Most recently, Michael appeared in A Great Awakening, a nationally released film.

This firsthand professional experience is at the core of what makes Michael’s coaching different. He doesn’t just teach technique from a textbook — he teaches from the inside of a real career.

A career that spans
every corner of the industry.

Through his company Performing Arts Programs, Michael directed and produced several of his youth productions at The Bushnell Center for the Performing Arts — bringing his programs to one of New England’s most prestigious venues, working with some of the most talented students ages 6–18 who auditioned from across Connecticut and Western Massachusetts to be part of his program.

The Performing Arts Youth Collective — his elite student ensemble — put on seasonal recitals that featured Broadway performers and Tony Award nominees, giving students extraordinary exposure to the highest levels of the industry while still in training.

Over the course of his career Michael has trained and developed 500+ performing arts teaching artists across Connecticut, Massachusetts, and Rhode Island — building partnerships with municipal recreation departments, schools, and community organizations, and producing programs serving thousands of participants annually.

Beyond coaching, Michael is an experienced stage director whose credits span professional theater, large-scale community productions, summer stock, and cruise line entertainment. His productions have ranged from intimate studio work to full-scale musicals with hundreds of cast and crew members.
