Meet Your Coach
Michael
Lamb.
For over 35 years Michael has coached singers, actors, and performers of every age and level — from complete beginners finding their voice for the first time, to working professionals preparing for Broadway callbacks and television auditions.
A performer from
the very start.
Michael’s performing arts journey began at the age of eight when he was invited to join the Singing Boys of Long Island — a professional boys’ choir modeled after the Vienna Boys’ Choir. He sang and toured with the group for five years before his family relocated to Connecticut.
In high school Michael was selected as both an All-Regional Soloist and an All-State Soloist — early recognition of a talent and dedication that would define his career. He went on to attend the Greater Hartford Academy of the Performing Arts, majoring in Acting, where he trained with Hartford Stage Youth Theater and studied acting and directing techniques under Clay Stevenson.
Michael then pursued higher education in the performing arts, studying theatre at the United States International University in San Diego and Musical Theater at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh — one of the most prestigious performing arts programs in the country.
A working performer
and director.
As a performer and director, Michael has worked with Equity and regional theater companies across the country. His stage work spans leading roles in some of the most beloved productions in the musical theater canon — from the National Touring Company of Fiddler on the Roof to principal roles in Man of La Mancha, Barnum, West Side Story, Brigadoon, Godspell, and more.
Beyond the stage, Michael has performed as a cabaret singer and piano player in venues throughout the East Coast — bringing the same professionalism and artistry to intimate settings that he brought to major regional productions.
This firsthand professional experience is at the core of what makes Michael’s coaching different. He doesn’t just teach technique — he teaches from the inside of a career.
