Michael's Biography

Our Vision
Michael has been teaching for over 30 years, working with all levels of skill. His students have performed and starred on Broadway as well as in Television and Film. He has a proven track record of cultivating, developing and preparing talent for productions, performances, auditions, callbacks, and events.
He Started His career at the age of eight when he was asked to join the Singing Boys of Long Island, a professional boys' choir that patterned itself after the Vienna Boys' Choir. Michael sang and toured with the group for five years, after which his family relocated to Connecticut. During High School, he was selected as an All-Regional Soloist as well as an All-State Soloist. Michael attended the Greater Hartford Academy of the Performing Arts, where he majored in Acting. He performed with the Hartford Stage Youth Theater continued his training in acting and directing techniques with Mr Clay Stevenson, the Hartford Stage Youth Theater director at that time. Michael then went on to study theatre at the United States International University (San Diego) and Musical Theater at Carnegie Mellon University (Pittsburgh).

As a performer and director, Michael has worked with many Equity and Regional Theater groups across the country. Some of his work includes Don Quixote in Man of La Mancha, P.T. Barnum in Barnum, Sid in The Pajama Game, Tony in West Side Story, Jasper in The Mystery of Edwin Drood, Tommy in Brigadoon, Jesus in Godspell, Kit in No Way to Treat a Lady and Perchick in Fiddler on the Roof with the National Touring Company. He also has performed as a cabaret singer/piano player and has played in many venues throughout the east coast.
He was also the Founder, CEO, and President of Performing Arts Programs, Inc. which was in existence from 1997-2018. Through his work in a three-state radius, The organization offered YEAR round productions, acting, musical theatre, and dance programs to thousands of young people as well as training and developing over 800 performing arts teaching artists.
He currently enjoys his work in his Private Studio as he continues to freelance. Michael's philosophy as an Educator is to create an atmosphere that foster students abilities to explore and develop in a positive, fun, safe and affirming environment.
